Privacy Policy
DailyGrid is operated by Dailygrid LLC (formation in progress). This policy explains what we collect and why. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the games, and nothing that identifies you personally.
1. What we collect
- Anonymous device identifier. When you first visit, your browser generates a random ID so we can save your streaks and stats. It isn't linked to your name, email, or anything else.
- Gameplay data. Which puzzles you completed, solve times, and streaks — tied only to the anonymous device ID.
- Aggregate counts. We publish a public "players today" counter. It's a headcount, not a list — no individual data is exposed.
- Push subscriptions (optional). If you tap the 🔔 reminders button, your browser creates a push subscription (an endpoint URL plus encryption keys) that we store so we can send you the daily "puzzles are ready" nudge. Turn reminders off anytime to delete it.
- Newsletter email (optional). If you sign up for the daily email, we store your address and sync it to our email provider (MailerLite) solely to send the newsletter. Unsubscribe anytime via the link in any email.
- Local storage. Your browser stores in-progress games locally on your device; we never see that data.
2. What we don't collect
No names, emails, or accounts (unless you contact us). No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no sale of data — there is nothing to sell.
3. How we use it
Streaks, stats, and the daily player count. That's it.
4. Data retention & deletion
Gameplay data is kept while your device ID is active. To erase everything, clear your browser's site data for DailyGrid — or email hello@getdailygrid.com with your device ID (found in your browser's local storage under device_id) and we'll delete it.
5. Children
DailyGrid is a general-audience puzzle site and doesn't knowingly collect data from children under 13 beyond the anonymous gameplay data described above.
6. Changes
We'll update the date above when this policy changes. Material changes will be announced on the site.
