Put DailyGrid on your site
One iframe. A fresh puzzle every day. Your readers play without leaving your page.
DailyGrid publishes ten new puzzles every day — Sudoku, Kakuro, nonograms, word games and more. The embed widget lets any website, blog, school page or newsletter offer one of them as a daily feature: the same puzzle everyone plays on DailyGrid that day, refreshed automatically at midnight Eastern. It's free, it needs no API key and no agreement — paste the snippet and you're done.
Live demo — this is the widget
The snippet
<iframe src="https://getdailygrid.com/embed?game=grid"
width="680" height="760" loading="lazy"
style="border:0;border-radius:12px;max-width:100%"
title="DailyGrid — today's Sudoku"></iframe>
Change game=grid to pick your puzzle:
| Parameter | Options | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
game | grid (Sudoku), kakuro, pixel, slither, hashi, minesweeper, cipher, ladder, minicross, wordsearch | Which daily puzzle to show. Default: Sudoku. |
brand | your site's name, e.g. &brand=Acme%20Blog | Co-branding shown in the widget header. Optional. |
lang | es | Renders the widget in Spanish. Optional. |
Suggested heights: Sudoku/Kakuro ≈ 760px, Pixel/Slitherlink/Hashi/Minesweeper ≈ 700px, word games ≈ 820px. Or auto-resize it — the widget posts its height to your page:
<script>
window.addEventListener("message", function (e) {
if (e.origin !== "https://getdailygrid.com") return;
if (e.data && e.data.type === "dailygrid-embed") {
document.querySelector("iframe").style.height = e.data.height + "px";
}
});
</script>
How it behaves
- Always today's puzzle — the widget follows the same midnight-Eastern rotation as the site, with a Monday-easy-to-weekend-hard difficulty ramp.
- Self-contained. Progress is kept in the widget itself; no accounts, no cookies from us on your page, no tracking of your readers.
- Attribution built in. The widget carries a small "Powered by DailyGrid" line and, when a player solves the puzzle, an invitation to play the other nine on DailyGrid. That's the whole deal: your readers get a daily feature, some of them become our players.
- Safe to frame. Only the embed route allows framing; the rest of DailyGrid sends frame-blocking headers.

Feeds for bots, newsletters and aggregators
Building on DailyGrid? Two stable, public feeds update every night with the new day:

Schools and libraries: the widget is a natural fit for a library homepage or a class start page — no accounts, no student data, a fresh puzzle daily. See DailyGrid for classrooms & libraries for the warm-up routine and the game-to-skill guide.
